This is a guest post from John Woolard, the President and CEO of BrightSource Energy, a leading utility-scale solar power company. BrightSource is generously supporting ACE with a new partnership to help spread the word about climate change and to highlight those technologies that are addressing this challenge.
At BrightSource Energy, we believe that climate is the most pressing environmental issue facing the planet. Our team is hard at work designing and deploying utility-scale solar technology that reduces the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and avoids greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to a changing climate.
We’re thrilled to support the great work of Alliance for Climate Education and their vision for a cleaner, brighter future. ACE plays a critical role by presenting vital information about our changing climate to the next generation of teachers, doctors and scientists in a fun and informative way, ensuring they are armed with the knowledge of how to protect and preserve our planet.
To promote this great work, during the month of September, BrightSource will contribute $1 for each “Like” at BrightSource’s Facebook page until ACE reaches the goal of $2,500. The funds raised will help ACE continue to spread the word on climate awareness and give students the opportunity to make a difference for our climate.
Thanks so much to Mr. Woolard, BrightSource Energy and you for supporting ACE and all the students, teachers and schools we work with. BrightSource shares lots of information about the environment and energy – starting September 1, please “like” BrightSource, learn more and help ACE!
