Brian is 16 years old and is currently a junior at Wake STEM Early College High School. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to the Cary area of North Carolina in 2005.
Brian is interested in the sciences, especially the areas of chemistry, microbiology, and physics. He enjoys playing baseball and skateboarding in his free time. He also participates in National Honor Society as well as the International Club at school.
Brian first became interested in climate change during a 7th grade social studies class. His teacher played a documentary for the class and it inspired Brian to learn more about the daunting challenge that climate change presents as well as look into ways that it can be combatted.
The most exciting aspects of climate action to Brian are the ones involving science, such as the development of viable and efficient renewable energy sources. He is looking forward to taking new steps in climate education and action with the ACE Fellowship, and to be a part of the solution.
