Marlo is the newest addition to the Youth Advisory Board. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, they aid in the education, organizing, and advocacy regarding the intersectional nature of the climate movement.  

Born and raised in the River City, Marlo became acutely aware of the manner in which the climate emergency disproportionately affects marginalized communities. After years of volunteering for the local non-profit, CleanUpJax, they were inspired by the fervor of climate activists in their area and resolved to join the fight.

Marlo is currently studying at the University of North Florida to pursue a degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Africana studies. As a proud Osprey, they spark change and lead grassroots organizing with the UNF chapter of Students for a Democratic Society, a national multi-issue progressive organization that fights for the liberation of all. 

Known for their performances and fun facts, Marlo devotes themselves to the preservation of BIPOC and queer rights in legislation as well as discussions surrounding the acceptance of mental health complications and mental disorder education. Their hobbies include writing short stories, reading, singing, and theatre.
