Emily is the State Field Director based in Bayou Boeuf, Louisiana, where she oversees all of ACE’s outreach, education, and advocacy work in the state. Emily has over 7 years experience in political  and issue based campaign work, as well as time spent in the classroom where she taught 8th grade social studies.  Emily has her BA in Political Science from Michigan State University, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Administration at LSU.  Emily is most excited about teaching others how to advocate for their communities, and creating an atmosphere of growth in her state. 

Emily spends her free time helping out as a tour guide at Zam’s Swamp Tour, where she teaches people about the rich history and culture of the Cajun people in south Louisiana. Emily’s favorite animal to show people at the tour is Nuelle the Nutria – who has the cutest little webbed feet
