As the Grants Manager at ACE, Cheryl focuses on strengthening connections for transformative climate action through proposal development and institutional relationship building.
Before joining ACE, Cheryl served as the Senior Development Officer at Women Enabled International, where she raised funds to advance human rights at the intersection of gender and disability. She previously fundraised for environmental education, youth services, and regenerative agriculture nonprofits. Her career in stewarding philanthropy began with two terms of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in social and health advocacy from SUNY Purchase. She attended a leadership conference in cross-cultural communication at the University of the Virgin Islands and is committed to ongoing professional development in nonprofit management and equitable philanthropy.
Cheryl enjoys developing a closer relationship with the natural world from her homebase on Chilkoot Tlingit land in southeast Alaska. She is an avid knitter, spinner of wool, herbal tea drinker, and aspiring farmer.
