Alex is the Director of Institutional Philanthropy for ACE, based in New York. In this role, she supports foundation and corporate funding partnerships to resource ACE’s mission and work for a global movement, rich in youth leadership, that has turned the tide on climate change. Alex is excited to pursue her passion for community-based advocacy and contribute to driving transformative climate action in our shared communities.
With over seven years in nonprofit fundraising, Alex brings deep experience and expertise in leading public and private institutional investments for social justice organizations. She has a focus on systems-building and utilizes a collaborative, team-based approach to advance this work. Previously, Alex worked at an anti-poverty, multi-service agency in Seattle, WA as their Interim Co-Director of Resource Development and Grants & Contracts Manager, advancing affordable housing, state safety net supports, food justice, and gender-based violence interventions. There, she was exposed to community-centric fundraising and continues to practice and grow those values in her work. Most recently, Alex was the Assistant Director of Institutional Giving at the Innocence Project in New York City, supporting criminal legal system transformation and restoring freedom for the wrongfully convicted.
Alex graduated from Colorado College with a BS in sociocultural anthropology. She is happiest in service to others and finds joy in the endless collection of houseplants, old furniture, and vinyl, and going on long, slow walks. Alex lives in the Hudson Valley with her partner and beloved cat Hazel, who runs their house.
