Yassi Kavezade

Program Manager

San Francisco Bay Area

Working with youth has always been a passion of Yassi’s and she is excited to be part of the team at ACE. Yassi is a first generation Iranian American, who was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to move to San Francisco in 2015 to advance her career in economic, environmental, and social justice advocacy.

Yassi holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Riverside. Soon after she began her studies at UC Riverside, Yassi took the lead along with her team on various sustainability initiatives, such as the start of a green grant and student jobs program funded through the Green Campus Action Plan.

As she created more connections between campus and community work, she helped establish fundamental visions for the Sierra Club’s My Generation Campaign in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. This youth program connects public health issues to fossil fuel use, and promotes a future powered by 100% clean energy.

At ACE Yassi enjoys working with students to succeed and implement campaign goals. In her approach she cultivates a space for young people to grow their personal leadership and collaborative skills so they can impact the future and implement the progress this planet needs!

When she’s not working, Yassi enjoys spending time rhyming and jamming with her friends, riding her bike, and swimming.
