Florida

Karina Samuel is an 11th grade student at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek. She is deeply passionate about changing the systemic inequalities within the climate crisis, and is interested in the politics and legislation behind climate policy. Karina is part of Bye Bye Plastic Bags, the Us Youth Climate Strike, and Greenpeace, and is invested in furthering her passion and making a difference through ACE.

As a debater and political activist, Karina has taken significant strides in the climate and conservation discussion. Through Bye Bye Plastic Bags, she has helped coordinate international cleanups, and created a framework for chapter heads around the world to integrate Plastic Bans in their local areas. Karina is excited to be a part of the fellowship, as it is an opportunity to create change in policy- the most important part of fighting climate-related impacts.
