Ivy Chen is a German-born Taiwanese-Californian who is a senior at Irvington High School. She cares about climate change because it should be an intrinsic issue that everyone should care about as citizens of planet Earth, no matter what profession or career they’re in. She helped kick-start a student-led, inter-district environmental organization called FIERCE and also is on the youth council of Greening Forward. FIERCE held a Green Summit last May and is working on organizing a project called “Green Hack” to take place in the spring!
Aside from promoting environmental awareness, Ivy cares about women empowerment and serves as a GenHERation ambassador. She is also an avid painter, cog-sic enthusiast, and a coffee addict. She plays tennis, does track at school, and loves exploring hiking spots with her dog in her free time!
