Jet Hayden

2016-2017 Action Fellow

New York City

Jet was born in San Francisco, California and moved to New York City in the fall of 2015, where he currently attends Grace Church School in Manhattan as a sophomore.

Jet's passion for climate change originates from an interest in the science of our changing atmosphere. He feels that it is unacceptable to pass this problem onto the next generation because there is no doubt that serious changes will take place if substantial behavioral changes in our society are not made. Jet strongly believes that the widespread political apathy among younger generations is something that must be changed in order to preserve a better future. He hopes to use the opportunity as an ACE Fellow to advocate for climate action on a grander scale in Manhattan.

At school, Jet is a part of the Grace Green Group, an environmental club that helps spread awareness of environmental issues in addition to its ultimate goal of helping the Grace Church School become more sustainable and resilient.

Aside from his passion for climate change and overall environmental well-being, Jet also loves studying foreign languages. He has working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and Portuguese, and he has just started learning Norwegian.

Jet is very excited to be part of this year's ACE Action Fellowship, and he looks forward to a great year of positive social change!
