Olivia Dydzuhn is a junior at Countryside High School participating in the St. Petersburg College dual enrollment program. She is interested in pursuing a career in marine biology, so she hopes this program will help better educate her about climate change. She enjoys volunteering in the community and she has accumulated 320 volunteer hours in the past three years. In school, Olivia is the president of the marine biology club, a member of the drama club board, business manager for the newspaper, writes for the school yearbook and is a member of the students against destructive decisions club.

She is a gun violence and environmental activist who is inspired to make an impact on the World. She believes that it is important for young people to be involved with climate activism because this is an issue impacting our world and we can make a difference in keeping our Earth safe. In her opinion, it is important to elect candidates who believe in making an environmental change and that everybody works together to prevent climate change. Olivia participated in Keep Pinellas Beautiful’s Summer Environmental Leadership Program during her freshman year and it inspired her to create an initiative to replace plastic bags with reusable bags in local stores. Olivia is excited to be a part of the ACE Action Fellowship so she can learn more about climate change and help slow global warming before it is too late.
