Milo Sherwood
Action Fellow Alumni
Greater Boston Area
Milo Sherwood lives in Chelsea, MA and is a senior at Chelsea High School. Milo’s interests include activism, trying new kinds of food (especially sushi), reading, and watching good horror flicks.
Milo first became interested in climate change when he watched Severn Cullis-Suzuki’s viral speech titled “The Girl Who Silenced the World for 5 Minutes” at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. This speech explains how adult’s actions directly affect the climate, and how this in turn jeopardizes the future of youth.
After being inspired by this speech, Milo attended an ACE Assembly and began attending ACE events where he met other like-minded youth who wanted to learn more about climate change and take action.
Milo sees the ACE Action Fellowship as the perfect opportunity to step up his participation in the climate movement. During his Action Fellowship experience, Milo hopes to become more confident communicating about climate change within his community and to become an example for how youth can be active participants in this movement.
