LeeAnn is the Head of Research and Experimentation at ACE. She oversees ACE’s research program to provide evidence-based support for its education and campaign initiatives.
She has spent the last decade focused on message design research for public health campaigns, most recently as Director of Research at Made to Save (a national grassroots COVID-19 vaccine equity campaign) and as a professor at the University of Dayton, where she also taught courses in health communication, persuasion, and misinformation. Dr. Sangalang has also held previous appointments at the Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science at the University of Pennsylvania and the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and her B.A. in communication and psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Based in Chicago, IL, she is a proud dog mom and a fan of bicycling with seemingly no limit for collecting books, houseplants, board games, and fancy coffee beans.
