Katie Sims is a Digital Advertising Associate based in Ithaca NY. They work on ACE’s paid media, fighting disinformation and mobilizing young people to take action using digital advertising to reach people where they connect on the internet. 

Katie comes to ACE with a history of mobilizing voters, including managing a city council race that boosted turnout by over 60% from comparable years. They’ve also led a successful campaign for their university to divest from fossil fuels, helped get strong climate justice policy passed in their city, and ran marketing for a theater and art hub. In college, Katie studied environmental and climate science, including researching the social and ecological impacts of warming winters on maple syrup production.
