Julia is from Sudbury, Massachusetts where she is currently a sophomore at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Outside of academics, she is on her school’s nordic and alpine ski teams, the editor of the school newspaper, and part of the U.S. Outdoor Club. She also enjoys running, sailing, cooking, and theater.
Her passion for the the environment stemmed from her interest in oceanography and the problem of ocean acidification, which she developed through summers on Cape Cod. After joining her school’s environmental club, she heard about the ACE Action Fellowship and decided to apply to learn how to help make a bigger impact on climate justice. Julia also volunteers at a local organic farm, which gives her insight into the many big issues created by industrialized agriculture. She hopes to continue spreading awareness about climate change and promote change.
