Juan was born in Peru and came to Boston at a very young age. He is currently attending Boston Latin School and is in eleventh grade. He has already been at the school for about four years or so. His interest in climate was originally sparked by where he used to live in Peru because the climate was dry and harmful to the people living there, including to him and family, due to lack of vegetation and the intense amount of pollution. Later in life, his reasons for caring about climate change expanded, as he began caring more about how climate change affects other things besides us. It harms other animals and species, taking away lives that he considered to be very precious regardless of their shape or appearance. Juan seeks to be in a world where life can live and grow, including wildlife, and where everyone can enjoy and bask in the world.
