Hana is a junior that attends Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida. Since she was little, she has been very passionate about the climate and how to protect it. She had first heard about climate change from a science teacher in elementary school. It pained her to hear about issues such as global warming and pollution which was devastating the world. Nowadays, she is very concerned about the future implications for the rise in carbon dioxide emissions and knew that she had to take action to help spread the message to others. The world has neglected climate change for decades, and now the problem is more imminent than ever before. It is up to the rising generation to undo the damage that previous generations inflicted on the environment. Simple steps such as recycling or carpooling can do wonders for the environment. Hana desires to communicate these ideas to more people so they can also play an active role in fighting climate change. With awareness comes the ability to act. Through these efforts, Hana strives to reach a future where man-made climate change has been eradicated. When she is not taking action against climate change, Hana enjoys reading books, cooking for her family, and chatting with her friends. Hana plans on majoring in environmental science in college to help further her efforts as a climate activist.
