Emily MacDonald
Action Fellow Alumni
Greater Boston Area
Emily is in the 12th grade at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School. Besides taking action on climate change, Emily lives for volleyball. She also really enjoys teaching (especially science-based classes), talking to people about their experiences, and has a long-term plan to travel and work all over the world.
She cares about climate change because she greatly enjoys being outside and working outside. Working at an organic farm, hiking, skiing and camping led her to want to help the world that she is a part of. The world is such a cool place in her eyes, has a multitude of great things to show people and she wants people for years to come to enjoy it. She is a member of her school’s envirothon team, and for her senior project she is developing her school’s biodiesel bus to further its ability as a mobile green classroom.
