Emily Chan
Action Fellow Alumni
Greater Boston Area
Emily was born in the Midwest and has lived on the east and west coasts as well as on the other side of the world. She currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is a senior at Cambridge’s only public high school, Cambridge Rindge and Latin High (CRLS). A self-described adventurer, she loves learning and trying new things. She volunteers twice a month at the Harvard Homeless Shelter preparing meals for guests, rows and sailing on the Charles River, and in her spare time enjoys playing music with friends. (She plays violin, guitar, and ukulele.) She is bilingual and also loves to read, create art, eat food, and do community service.
She has been concerned about climate change since she watched The Inconvenient Truth as a young child and believes that with power and resources comes responsibility, and citizens of the developed world have a particularly large responsibility to take action on environmental issues.
