Ela Moody
Fellow
Ohio
Ela is a sophomore in high school from Akron, Ohio. She plays on her school soccer team and enjoys watching sunsets. Other things she participates in at school include the service group, Students Demand Action, and the equity and inclusion committee. The most important aspect of climate action for her is climate justice. She believes we cannot effectively deal with the climate crisis without understanding the intersections between climate change and other issues such as poverty and race. She got involved in climate action because she was scared for her generation and future generations. She wanted to turn that fear into action. She joined the Fellowship to further her involvement in climate action and learn more about effective climate policies. Ela is eager to work in the Fellowship and to meet other passionate youth from her community. She is excited to be a part of a beautiful movement for a more sustainable equal world.
