Next week is a very special week for us. Why? We’re having a week – long celebration of the earth called… EARTH WEEK!

Culminating with Earth Day on April 22nd, we’re devoting this entire week to fun facts about the earth, the chance to win some pretty awesome prizes, tips and tricks about how to get ahead in our Biggest Loser: Energy competition and just general awesomeness.

Did you know that the very first Earth Day was held on March 21, 1969? A year after that US Senator Gaylord Nelson held another Earth Day as a teach-in. That day stuck, and now it’s the day that’s recognized as Earth Day in over 175 countries.

To kick things off we walked around Oakland, CA and asked community members two questions: 1. When is Earth Day? and 2. What do you do to go green? Check out this video for their responses.

Happy Earth Week, everyone! What are YOU doing to go green?
