NYC

New York City is the place to be this week. The undeniably hip and forward-thinking city is home to two major events around climate change and global warming, both of which are going on right now. We’re here to enlighten you about these awesome events.

The first is the Clinton Global Initiative, a prestigious invite-only gathering of heads of state, company executives, directors of major nonprofits, and other relevant global leaders. Basically, it’s a big deal. And guess what? ACE got to send two of our star students, Shreya and Daniela to tell their story of how they went to the White House and founded SmartPowerEd. You can live stream their segment here at 9 AM EST/ 12 PM PST.

Next up is Climate Week NYC. It’s a summit that’s been happening every year for the past to years where the world’s leading businesses, governments and the people behind large scale, impactful public events team up to embark on a ‘clean industrial revolution.’ A whattt? It’s a scaling up of clean technologies on an epic level. Events this year include: Apartment Building Recycling Training, How to Green Your Home, Cool Down the Earth: Lifting the CO2 Emission and evening a screening of the film “Journey of the Universe.” Headed up by the Climate Week, it’s a week of green innovation. Check out more.

You don’t have to go to big conference to do great things though. Start greening up your school with our  Biggest Loser: Energy competition. Who knows, your Action Team could be the next Shreya and Daniela. Cool!
