Youth Rep: Faith Mullins
ACE Students
|November 2, 2010

Hello! My name is Faith Mullins, and I am a junior at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I became interested in climate change when I was introduced to ACE, and for the past six months I have worked with ACE on a few projects, such as a Clean Energy Forum held in Jonesboro, AR, and an Earth Day Rally where I delivered youth signatures on a Declaration of Independence from Fossil Fuels to Senator Blanche Lincoln’s office last April.
I was thrilled when I was asked to become an ACE Youth Representative; I love their mission and cannot wait for this year’s program to get off the ground.
I am passionate about climate change because I understand that it is the biggest issue facing our generation and that it is our responsibility to stop this mess from getting worse.
I believe that what our generation does to halt the decreasing stability of our environment is going to change society as we know it. We will create amazing new technologies and brilliant innovative policies that improve our environment and our way of life.
Currently, I am working on my Girl Scout Gold Award project, which is to “green” my high school. Through this project I will be able to the raise awareness of young people in my community and also the awareness of Arkansans. One goal I have for my Gold Award is to spark interest in Arkansas’ citizens to follow my lead and lobby for positive energy change.
Stay tuned to my blog posts – I’ll be updating on my experiences and projects throughout the year!
