We just got word that Stephen Schneider, a renowned climate scientist and a person dear to our hearts here at ACE, has passed away.

Steve was the head of our Science Advisory Board and back in December, we were lucky to have him blog with us while following international climate negotiations in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He is someone we looked to with great respect and admiration as we shaped our climate science presentation. His presence will be sorely missed. You can read a brief obituary from Andy Revkin over at DotEarth.

We send our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and the entire community.
