Katherine is the Development Manager at ACE and has been a fundraising professional for over six years. She began her career as a development consultant for a variety of Atlanta-based education, health, and social nonprofit organizations, assisting with capital campaigns, feasibility studies, development audits, cultivation events, and grant proposals. After gaining a Master’s of Social Work degree with a concentration in community partnerships in 2012, she worked for two years at the global NGO CARE, providing programmatic support and grants management for public health initiatives.

Katherine first became interested in climate change while living abroad in Ireland and during her travels throughout Africa and Europe. Through her work in the public health field, she saw first-hand how climate change affects all aspects of life on a local to global scale. Her work at ACE is grounded in her belief that youth — the next generation of teachers, innovators and policy makers — are best positioned to lead on immediate and long-term climate solutions.
