Michael is from San Francisco and is a sophomore at Gateway High School. Michael cares about climate change because it is an issue that affects all of us and is something that won’t just go away on its own.
Michael believes that it is important for young people to be active and speak out about climate change because they are the ones who are going to carry the torch of the previous generation. He believes that young people need to know how to deal with problems like climate change and to apply themselves in creative ways. Michael believes passionately that education is a powerful tool to stop the problem from growing. Through the Fellowship, he hopes to educate his peers and fellow community members about climate change and how they can participate in solutions.
