Jamal is one of ACE’s Civic Engagement Mangers in North Carolina. He is apart of a team that is working diligently to make sure that the youth will have the information and infrastructure that they need to take action on climate change. 

Graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2014 with a degree in Political Science, Jamal is dedicated to making lasting change in underserved communities and making sure that his niece will still have an Earth to grow old on. As a native of North Carolina and a resident of Charlotte, NC, Jamal is very passionate about climate justice for his community. 

Jamal brings 5 cycles of organizing experience to the ACE team. In prior roles working with organizations such as NextGen America (formerly NextGen Climate) and Environment NC he has had the opportunity to lead young organizers in registering voters and assist in creating lasting political infrastructures.

In his spare time, Jamal loves finding delicious local eateries and Hip-Hop culture. He is a Gryffindor and loves to travel.
