Brad Holmes

Ohio Organizing Manager

Brad serves as ACE’s Ohio Organizing Manager. Born and raised in Ohio, Brad is filled with passion toward the advancement of sustainability policy, environmental health & justice initiatives, and grassroots campaigns in the state.

Throughout his educational ventures, Brad has engaged himself in a variety of activism efforts and research projects — including his service as the Club President of the Environmental Action Group (EAG) at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), as well as the Lead Coordinator for the Bowling Green Climate Protectors.

Additionally, during the pursuit of his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Policy & Ethics, Brad submerged himself in coursework including Environment Policy & Ethics, Sustainable Development, and Social Research Methods & Econometrics. This then propelled him toward an award-winning, grant-funded research project at BGSU entitled, “Community Environmental Protection: Local Resistance Against Corporate Projects Across the United States.”

After graduating from BGSU, Brad began working with Ohio Citizen Action (OCA), a clean energy & government accountability non-profit organization in Ohio. At OCA, Brad quickly developed his organizing and leadership skills as a Field Canvasser, Phone Canvasser, and then the Phone Canvass Director.

After 3+ years of working with OCA, Brad joined ACE in November 2021 to serve as Ohio’s Program Manager. He mentors and empowers youth activists in Ohio toward leadership, education, and advocacy in the realms of climate justice, environmental policy, and community sustainability.

Brad is an inquisitive and attentive activist. He strives to constantly learn from others, inspire curiosity, and promote climate justice however and wherever he can.
