Peter Diamond is proud to serve as a Senior Action Fellow with the Alliance for Climate Education. They are a founder of divestNEWTON, one of the nation’s first high school-based city divestment organizations, and a founding member of Student-Organized Climate Action Network. They are an incoming first-year at Oberlin College, class of 2019, where they look forward to studying health and sustainability and all the intersections in between. Currently, Peter is finishing up twelfth grade at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, where they were raised. They are passionate about climate justice and the way it intersects with the liberation of marginalized people worldwide. A passionate prison abolition advocate, Peter hosts events and volunteers in spaces dedicated to liberating all folks, namely those who are especially susceptible to state violence such as trans people, from the prison-industrial complex. They are also a performance artist, poet, author, playwright, director, and occasional actor.
