Chicago

Quincy Hirt is currently a sophomore at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School on the southwest side of Chicago. At Whitney Young, he’s a member of the boys volleyball team, the Jewish Student Connection, the student council, and the Freshman Mentors. Outside of school, he plays for the Chicago Elite Volleyball Club. He is a part of the Voices Teen Alumni Foundation, and he always enjoys a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold day.

After seeing the ACE Assembly in school, he was immediately drawn to the program. He joined ACE’s Action Fellowship in order to help better his understanding of climate education, as well as to educate the people around him. As a student in Mr. Katz’s freshman biology class, he completed a semester project focused entirely on bettering his community’s participation in climate action. Through that class he has received a fantastic intro to climate education and is looking forward to furthering this knowledge with ACE.
