Nicolas Rodriguez

Action Fellow Alumni

San Francisco Bay Area

Nicolas is from Pasadena, California where he graduated from Franklin High School in Northeast Los Angeles. He is now attending San Jose State University on a partial academic scholarship, where he will be majoring in business corporate accounting and minoring in computer science and economics.

It was during high school when Nicolas discovered why he cared about climate change, having lived in the city where carbon emissions were peaking all other cities around him. It was at that moment when he knew he wanted to help make a change not only for himself but for his younger brothers who are constantly playing outside and breathing such harmful air. During high school he was a six-sport athlete and was also an active club member. He was part of the original PowerSave Schools team at Franklin High School and hopes to be founder of the PowerSave Campus club at San Jose State University.
