Charles Rainey is a senior at Arabia Mountain High School (AMHS) in Lithonia, GA. He is an accomplished violinist of seven years, an avid movie-goer, and a gamer. Charles’ concern for climate change began when he enrolled at AMHS, a high school that fosters environmental stewardship within the student body. Since the school is located on the 2,550 acre Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, Charles has been given several opportunities to conduct research and learn from nature on a daily basis. As the official male student representative for the school, Charles serves as a role model and teaches his peers and underclassmen about the importance of climate change and sustainability. Charles creates blogs and multimedia vlogs to spread awareness about climate change. He has also participated in a waste sort on the campus of Emory University.
