Amanda Schoen

Director, Business Development

As the Director of Business Development, Amanda Schoen helps forge and strengthen relationships with the renewable energy industry, philanthropic institutions, and government agencies. She has spent the past decade working to build wind, solar, battery storage, and other renewable projects across the US.

Prior to joining ACE, Amanda worked as the Director of Public Affairs for Equinor US Renewables, where she supported the buildout of the 2 GW Empire Wind project. There she met with lawmakers, regulators, industry stakeholders to grow support for offshore wind and identify opportunities for local businesses and communities to participate in the industry. She has also previously worked for Vestas as a policy specialist, where she provided input on tax credits for domestic wind turbine manufacturing that eventually became part of the Inflation Reduction Act. Amanda began her career on the Hill, where she served under two members of Congress, John Larson of Connecticut and Mike Thompson of California.

Amanda lives in Connecticut with her husband on their 40-acre farm. She spends her free time enjoying the outdoors with their dogs and horses.
