A couple of weeks ago, Daniela and I had a fantastic day speaking at the Cal Academy and perusing the exhibits.

Unlike our usual presentation which is targeted towards teenagers interested in pursuing a smart energy project, we did a high-energy, interactive presentation about FIVE different ways to save energy at home!

We talked about things ranging from

1) unplugging energy vampires

2) monitoring your AC and heater temperatures

3) using CFLs instead of incandescent bulbs

4) keeping your home at a balanced ventilation by using draft stoppers

5) watching your water use in the shower

Simple as they may sound, doing these five things can make a SIGNIFICANT difference 🙂

We had an fantastic time checking out the exhibits as well! They have this rad aquarium downstairs that we got super giddy about. (people were shocked to see two grown teenagers getting so excited about jellyfish and sharks haha)

They were these hilarious quotes all over the place in the climate change exhibit. My personal favorite was “Climate is an angry beast and we are poking at it with sticks”

It was such a memorable day and I encourage you all to go check out the Cal Academy whenever you’re in the Bay Area!

Check out this awesome video Daniela made documenting our day :
