Hug High Green Hawks

We’ve announced the small school, middle school and bonus project winners, but now we move into the schools that dominated their regions.

By reducing their school’s CO2 output by 3,879 pounds and saving $287 in just 15 days, the Sierra Region winner is:

The Hug Green Hawks Action Team
of Proctor R. Hug High School
in Reno, Nevada

“The best part was making a difference. Unlike other clubs, we actually get stuff done.” – Christina L.

This isn’t the team’s first win, even during this competition! Their work in Biggest Loser: Energy also earned them a first place win and a $5,000 grant in the GREENevada competition.

“I felt like I could actually make a difference that lasts in the school and improve it.” – Alejandra I.

Congrats to the school and Hug Green Hawks!
