It’s Friday, and thanks to Rebecca Black we are now well-aware that not only does Saturday come after Friday, but Fridays are for having fun with friends. This weekend, why not have fun while doing something that’s good for the environment? Check out some ideas below to get started on your fun-filled, green weekend!

Spend a day being trashy. No, not like that. Gather all of your friends and spend an afternoon picking up trash around your school, park, favorite hang out, the beach, wherever! Not only will it feel great to get outdoors, you’ll beautify your space while you’re at it. double win.

Host a clothing swap. Instead of hitting the mall with your besties, host a clothing swap. Have everybody bring old clothes that they no longer want. Browse through the selections and have everybody pick out one item they really want. Then, it’s a free for all. You’ll leave with a stylin’ new wardrobe without spending a cent.

Have a recycling drive.  Go around your neighborhood with recycling bins, knock on people’s doors and offer to take their recycling. Then, cash it in to earn money for your Action Team.

Host a vegetarian Oscar party.  Host an Oscar viewing party and have everybody bring their favorite vegetarian or vegan dish to share. Then, dig in!

Do you have an awesome idea that we haven’t even though of yet? Tell us! Email [email protected] to get your ideas on the blog.
