ACE just gave away a Flip Cam: HOT DOT of the Week

March Madness has been incredible: more than 20,000 students pledged a DOT during the month in ACE Assemblies and student projects.
As part of March Madness, ACE gave away some fun prizes to random winners who shared a DOT during March – this week’s HOT DOT of the week goes out to Amanda in Chicago, who won a Flip Cam. She wrote me an email about her DOT after I called her to tell her she won – “I started to use reusable water bottles, converting my light bulbs, as well as using organic material for carrying around school… I try and be good about our earth because it is a place I want to see grow for many years to come and I hope others take the same actions I have to keep this world a better place.”
As it turns out, Amanda is actually a film maker – talk about a lucky random winner! “What I am going to do with my Flip camera is continue making videos for youtube as I’ve done for years I hope to continue that passion and hopefully have a career in film making.” Next week we’ll share some info and ideas from our NBA Champion LA Lakers-signed basketball winner.
As part of March Madness, we also had an amazing contest going on with our Action Teams – and now it’s down to the Final Four! Check out these murals that our Final Four competitors put together in less than a week. They’re competing for a $400 grant for their club and some serious bragging rights. The winner is going to be announced Monday, April 11.
