You’re already taking action on campus to lower your emissions! But there’s more to do… Here’s your chance to really step it up during one fabulous weekend in Washington, D.C.

Power Shift 2011 is the largest gathering of U.S. youth calling for clean energy and climate action EVER! And we’d like to invite you to be part of it. It’ll be the best field trip ever!

From April 15-18, 10,000+ youth from across the U.S. will come to the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. to learn leadership skills, organizing strategies, and project tactics to support clean energy and cut carbon emissions in their communities and on campus. There will be workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and the chance to meet other youth leaders from across the U.S.! See what it’s like in this video. Then register today before prices rise on March 27th!powershift

Learn more about Power Shift and check the agenda here!

ACE will be there, highlighting the awesome work our high school network has been doing across the country, and helping train the next generation of youth climate leaders. We can help connect you with other high school groups at the event, and answer questions you might have during the weekend. We’d love to see you there!

Want to coordinate a group from your school? You can find coordinator resources here. After March 27th, prices go up – so register soon!

Don’t have the cash? Scholarships are available for registration, housing and travel on a limited basis (note: scholarship deadline is this Friday).

Students will need to take care of their own travel logistics and housing in D.C. But once you get registered, you’ll have access to Power Shift’s resources to help plan your stay.

It’ll be a blast – an event you won’t want to miss! So talk to your parents, register today – and bring some friends!

PS Once you decide to attend PowerShift, text the message PS to 30644 to get in the loop about ACE’s presence at the event. We’ll keep you up-to-date on our activities during the weekend!
