Hot DOT of the Week + Zero Waste Challenge Update

I really hope it doesn’t rain today – I hung my laundry out in the backyard during a sunny morning. But, now it’s a little cloudy and it looks like the rain is coming in for the afternoon. Why would I be hanging my laundry and telling you about it? That’s simple – Zero Waste Challenge, baby. For March Madness, my DOT is to not produce any garbage (and no recyclables either – this is a zero waste effort) for the entire month.
It seems harder to remember than last time, but then again – I’m only 4 days in. These habits will settle back in nicely. Today was a failure – I bought a pizza from a top quality bakery and forgot that I would have to recycle the box. Not the end of the world, but in a Zero Waste Challenge, that puts my monthly tally at 2:2 (success days: fail days).
AND NOW FOR THE HOT DOT OF THE WEEK: coming from Professional Skier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa during ACE and Protect Our Winter’s week in Aspen as part of Hot Planet/Cool Athletes. He ignited the crowd with his powerful words and moving call to action. Check out a snapshot of it in this video below.

Quick reminder – March Madness is picking up steam and we’re getting ready to give out our first prizes… there’s still time to share your DOT and be entered to win a Flip Cam.
