Can I participate if I am under 18 years old? 

No. You must be at least 18 years old to join the creator program.

What is the process? When do I get paid?

There are four steps. You will be paid within 10 days after completing sharing a link to your post with ACE.

1. Application: complete the application form. ACE will review your submission and if you are chosen as a creator, you will then receive an email with instructions on how to draft your video
2. Drafting: this is when you create your video and then share it with ACE. ACE will review your video. 
3. Publishing: Once we provide approval, you can post your video and add the accompanying petition to your bio/linktree. You will send ACE a link to your post.
4. Get Paid: Once we have confirmed you have posted the video and included the correct link in your bio/linktree, we will process your payment within 10 days.

How will I get paid?

You will receive payment via a Visa Gift Card which you can use just like cash anywhere online. 

What specifics do I need in my video?

1. Your video needs to have captions
2. Your video should be between 15 – 60 seconds
3. Your video needs to include a call to action where you mention the link in your bio

How do I add a link in my bio on TikTok?

Make the free upgrade from a creator to a business account.

1. Tap the 3 dots icon (…) in the top right hand corner of your bio to access the “Settings and Privacy Page” 
2. Tap “Switch to a Business Account” 
3. Navigate to your profile and tap “Edit Profile”. You’ll now see a new Website field underneath Bio. Tap on the Website section. 
4. Paste your link into the website field and click “Save”.

What is a linktree and where do I get one?

Linktree is an elegant solution to adding links for your TikTok and Instagram posts. Sign up for free, add your link to your bios, and from there you can curate anything you want to link to (like ACE’s climate petitions, or your other social channels). As a member of the ACE creator network, you agree to keep ACE links live in your link tree for at least six months. See Terms and Conditions.

Where can I learn more about climate change and climate justice?

Visit our climate education portal, Our Climate Our Future to find a library of free, bite-sized animated videos that walk you through the basics of climate science, climate justice, and where young people fit into the picture. 

How long does my video need to stay up on my page?

Social media profiles where the video will be posted must be public and viewable by ACE for one year.

How long does the link need to be posted in my bio or Linktree?

The link must be posted in your bio or Linktree for a minimum of 6 months from the video’s published date.
