As thousands gather around the country today to demand climate action, ACE is proud to be a part of the People’s Climate Movement (PCM). We empower young people to take action on climate change and today our young leaders are taking center stage at rallies around the country to speak up for their future. ACE Action Fellows are hitting the streets of San Francisco, Mountain View and New York City to demand bold action on climate change.

Today, our young leaders are taking center stage at rallies around the country to speak up for their future.

San Francisco, CA
ACE Action Fellow Ana Singh, a junior at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA, is leading the charge at the #DontBlockTheSun Solar Rally in San Francisco. Ana is speaking personally about the impact climate change has on young people and the reasons why it is critical that solar remains a key part of California’s energy future. Power companies want to end net metering and increase fees for solar energy, which would deliver a big blow to the solar movement. The Solar Rally is delivering a clear message to California’s power brokers and energy companies around the nation—get out of the way and let the solar movement grow.

New York City, NY
Last year, when over 400,000 people marched in New York City during the biggest climate event in history, ACE was there. Today, ACE Action Fellows are back on the streets of New York City, participating in an all day pop-up event in Midtown. The pop-up uses social media tools to connect New Yorkers with PCM Day of Action events around the country. The Fellows are also joining a rally in Harlem, as they call for divestment from fossil fuels and investment in clean energy, public housing, and good jobs.

ACE’s young leaders are making waves for climate action. We will continue to support them as they lead the way.

Mountain View, CA
ACE Action Fellow Kian Martin, a senior at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose, CA, has the opportunity to fire up a high-tech crowd at the Silicon Valley PCM rally in Mountain View today. He is delivering a powerful message to the technology community about the need for climate and environmental justice. Kian is advocating for the inclusion of young people in the climate movement. He is being supported at the rally by the rest of Bay Area ACE Action Fellowship team.

Today, ACE’s young leaders are making waves for climate action. We will continue to support them as they lead the way.
